The initial consultation process enables you to discuss through any ideas/concepts you have for the garden. We can take the opportunity to discuss the site and the requirements of the design, balancing and assessing the merits and potential challenges of the space.
Initial Consultation
The brief establishes a clear plan on which we can work to prioritise what matters most, aiding in the delivery of an appropriate design with respect to how you may use - and be - in the garden.
Client Brief
A detailed site survey records existing features and the state of the site. Working methodically through considerations such as the architectural period of the house, changes in level, soil types, climatic factors, desirable views etc. will contextualise the design with respect to its environs and provide a scaled drawing on which the foundations of a design are built.
Site Appraisal
Once the design has been drawn up and agreed a costing can be prepared for the proposed project. Costings will be broken down with respect to design fees, site preparation and planting, and contractor engagement. Managing the project in close cooperation with the contractor will ensure the specification of the build is running to schedule and minimise any potential setbacks.
The garden is constantly moving, maturing, and changing not only with the seasons but year on year. Ongoing dialogue about maintenance requirements, aftercare and design features will ensure the design has a lasting impact.
