Rural Estate, Roxburghshire
An imposing 19th century private residence with extensive grounds.
The original planting for the restoration of two large mixed borders was designed by Nick Burton.
Since 2021, following this collaboration I have worked in a consultancy capacity with the client to design further mixed and herbaceous borders and a curated woodland walk. A key aim of this work has been to create a sympathetic link between more formal areas and transitional garden spaces - feathering these additions into the terraced meadow and landscape beyond.
A further framework of gardens is in planning and will include a Japanese Garden, taking inspiration from the clients own experiences.
